Do you ever watch HGTV and think…I can do that! Do your friends and family consistently ask you for design advice? Do you get all the feels at Home Goods, Home Sense and Pinterest?
If you answered yes to any of these then you’re just like me.
For years I drooled over (and low key was jealous of) all of the people making money and living their creative life that seemed to escape me. I always thought I couldn’t do it because I didn’t have any formal education or experience. Finally, after I was forced to quit my job that I absolutely hated to take care of my sick son, I decided enough was enough. I had nothing else to lose. I was going to give it a go and see where the chips fell. I started freelancing as a home stager and never looked back.
Now less than 4 years later, my work has been featured in the Washington post, I’ve been named one of Maryland’s Top VIP Professionals Under 40, Awarded as one of Maryland’s Leading Women, I’m the Vice President of Staging & Design at a firm in Washington DC AND I’ve even designed a mini vignette series on HGTV. Now I’ve gone from struggling on welfare, to owning my own home, traveling the world, designing for amazing clients and thriving. If THIS single mom can do it with NOOO formal education or experience in design, YOU can too. You just have to decide enough is enough and take that big leap.
Now I'm helping YOU realize your dreams and accelerate your career with my Interior Styling with Deandra course!
